Our Kitchen Design Process
Step 7: QBCC Licensed
Haddon Kitchens and Cabinets is fully licensed with the Queensland
Building & Construction Commission to engage and supervise all other
tradespeople (plumber, electrician, plasterer etc) required to complete your
kitchen installation. We always include the Compulsory QBCC Home Warranty
Insurance when required. We encourage you to view our full licence history
on the QBCC website. Our aim is for the completed project to have been an
enjoyable and stress free experience for all concerned and for our customers
to be incredibly happy and proud of their new kitchen!
Step 6: Kitchen Installation
We believe onsite cabinet installation is of vital importance to the end
result. The team installing your new kitchen are fully qualified cabinet
makers with many years of experience both building and installing kitchens.
We have very strict guidelines for our kitchen installation to ensure that
it is without flaws or imperfections.
Having the best kitchen design means nothing if it is not manufactured and
installed correctly and to the highest standard. We take immense pride in
every kitchen we create!
Step 5: Cabinet Hardware
Only the very best materials and hardware are used during manufacture,
ensuring your kitchen is made from the finest components available. For over
30 years we have been using the 'Blum' range of hinges and drawer systems
that carry a lifetime warranty. Please visit the links to our many
suppliers. All of the materials and hardware we use and recommend are on
display in our showroom and we encourage you to come in to view the many
different options available.
Step 4: Manufacturing Your New Kitchen
Once you are happy with your design and have made all of your final
selections regarding materials, colours and appliances and the contract is
in place we will then commence building your custom cabinetry. We combine
modern technology with quality craftsmanship to build your custom kitchens
in our modern workshop. We take enormous care at the kitchen manufacture
stage to make sure that all kitchen cabinetry we produce is something that
we can all be proud of. We put our name to every kitchen we create so we
strive to maintain the high standard our customers have come to expect over
the last 30+ years!
Step 3: Multiple Contract Options
Our contract can be for the supply and installation of your new kitchen
only, or we can include the supply and installation of your new kitchen as
well as the coordination of our reliable longstanding team of subcontractors
(plumber, electrician, plasterer etc). For your peace of mind we offer a
fixed price contract, this includes the coordination of all of our
subcontractors. Most of our customers choose to include the subcontractors
as part of their kitchen contract. We then project manager the entire job
from start to finish making the process of installing your new kitchen
smooth and stress free.
Step 2: The designing process
All of your kitchens measurements are transferred into our design program
where our designers can then begin to digitally create your new kitchen. We
take into account storage areas, ease of access and generous preparation
areas whilst designing. Once completed it is then shown to you as a digital
representation of what the finished kitchen will look like within your space
including multiple 3D views as well as a detailed floor plan.
Step 1: Information and meeting
Our first point of contact is to arrange an appointment with you. This is
usually done onsite where we can see the space, take measurements and
discuss your requirements. If your project is a new build or extension this
meeting usually takes place in our showroom. The purpose of this meeting is
to collect your thoughts and ideas as well as your preferences. These
preferences can include design concepts, preferred materials, colour schemes
and appliance details. We also encourage customers to visit our showroom so
that you can meet our team, see where everything is manufactured, view the
quality of our work and take some samples and information home. We welcome
customers to our showroom at any time, no appointment is necessary.
With only a few months left until 2020 is upon us (scary, we know!), it is safe to say that a new year generally brings some new trends for kitchen renovators
to enjoy and mull over (and a few old trust favourites to stick around). From colour schemes to fixture choices to cabinet style and splashback options,
