Our latest project in Morayfield is a perfect example of how thoughtful color choices and premium materials can completely redefine a home. We worked closely with our clients to move away from a standard all-white palette, introducing earthy tones and high-end textures to create a kitchen that feels both classic and contemporary.
For the island, we used a classic shaker profile and added decorative skirting to give it more of a furniture look. The rest of the kitchen is done in Polytec ‘Classic White’ matt, which helps open up the room and keep it bright.
Up top, we went with handleless overheads; it keeps the lines clean so the focus stays on the detail in the lower cabinets.
We chose YDL Stone in ‘Giusto’ for the benchtops. To make the island really stand out, we went with a 40mm feature edge, while keeping the rest of the kitchen at 20mm.
The final touch was the splashback; we laid these ‘Haven Olive’ tiles from Tony Glover Tiling, which pull those green tones from the island across the whole room.
It’s not all about the looks, though. We fitted this one out with Blum ‘Merivobox’ soft-close drawers and hinges so everything runs quietly and feels solid.
For the finishing touches, we used Barchie ‘Newcastle’ handles in satin nickel for the lower cabinetry.
