When our wonderful clients from Ferny Grove reached out to us, they had a clear vision for their kitchen renovation: they wanted to maximise their cooking and prep space, while creating a warm, practical hub where family and friends could naturally gather around.
The hero of the room is the central island bench. Finished in a soft green two pack with decorative base skirting. We topped it with a 40mm Caesarstone 'Calacatta Dreamwave' slab, leaving a generous overhang so the family can pull up a couple of stools for quick breakfasts, homework, or a chat with whoever is cooking.
Along the perimeter, 20mm YDL 'Rosemee' stone delivers hardwearing, low-maintenance work zones around the sink and cooktop. The surrounding cabinetry is painted in Dulux 'Mill Flour Quarter' with a subtle 30% satin sheen, keeping the room feeling bright and open without being stark white.
To bring a bit of natural texture into the space we built an open display nook into the overhead run using Polytec 'Tasmanian Oak'. Paired with the soft blush subway tile splashback, the kitchen has an inviting, lived-in feel day and night.
To compliment the overall kitchen design. We installed Blum Merivobox drawers and soft-close hinges throughout for effortless daily use, finishing the look with Handle House 'Double Bay' pull handles and 'Airlie' knobs in a warm Champagne Gold.
